Treefrogs are delicate, and highly specialized for living in very specific environments. This is the slope headed treefrog (Sphaenorhynchus lacteus) calling from a swamp forest in southern Trinidad. When this photograph was taken the pond was also filled with newly hatched caimans looking for a tasty meal.
Bearded dragons (Pogona vitticeps) are ever increasing in popularity with reptile enthusiast. Wen they open their mouth like this, they are not threatening their owners, instead they are just trying to get rid of extra heat. In Australia these lizards inhabit hot environments.

The common Green Iguana (Iguana iguana), is not always green. Like all species it shows variations in color and pattern. In recent years reptile breeders have been producing a red morph of the Green Iguana, but it is still the same species.
Australia, New Guinea, and some nearby islands are home to the Green Tree Python (Morleia viridis). These beautiful snakes spend most of their adult lives in the trees, but juveniles are often found near the ground where they hunt for small lizards. As adults they switch their diet to mammals.
The Texas Rat Snake (Pantherophis obsoletus) may exceed 8 feet in length. Wild individuals often have a complex color pattern of brown and black bands with yellow or white.
